Dignity GrowsTM empowers our neighbors in need by providing menstrual and hygiene supplies for every body that needs them. We remove obstacles to better self-esteem and health by providing personal hygiene essentials each and every month. Dignity GrowsTM mobilizes volunteers to organize, assemble, and distribute free, reusable zipper-top totes filled with a month's supply of soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, along with menstrual products. Federal grant programs don't cover these items, and people often don't think to donate them to food pantries.
Dignity GrowsTM was started in 2019 in Greater Hartford, and it’s now a national initiative. Over 9,000 Dignity GrowsTM Totes have already been distributed across our region!
